These celebrities left a lasting impact on us, despite being gone far too soon.
Pop Smoke
Bashar Jackson, also known as rapper Pop Smoke, died earlier this week. He was killed in a reported home invasion. Our condolences go out to his friends and family.
Kobe and Gianna Bryant
Kobe and Gianna Bryant tragically lost their lives a few weeks ago along with seven others in a helicopter crash. Bryant was an NBA legend and huge advocate for the WNBA. His contributions went far beyond the sports world, too.
Juice WLRD
21-year-old Juice WRLD passed away in December 2019 after overdosing while on a private flight. The rapper’s career was just taking off. He was featured posthumously on Eminem’s 2020 album Music to Be Murdered By.
Cameron Boyce
Star of Disney Channel’s “Descendants” and “Jessie,” Cameron Boyce, passed away in July 2019. He suffered from a seizure caused by an ongoing medical condition. Known by all for his kindness, charity work, and talent, Boyce’s death was a huge loss to anyone who knew him or his work.
Nipsey Hussle
Grammy-nominated rapper and community activist, Nipsey Hussle, was shot and killed in Los Angeles at the beginning of 2019. His legacy lives on through his community projects and loved ones.

Mac Miller
Mac Miller accidentally overdosed on September 6, 2018, leaving his friends, family, and collaborators in shock. Miller’s family released his album Circles in early 2020. He is greatly missed, and his spirit will continue to inspire us through his music.
XXXTentacion
The young rapper was fatally shot in June of 2018 at just 20 years old. XXXTentacion was a popular member of the young music scene and was close friends with Billie Eilish. His song “Sad!” rose to number one on the Billboard charts following his death.
Avicii
World famous DJ, Avicii, died last year, leaving fans stunned. His unique musical style captured audiences worldwide, and he is greatly missed.
Christina Grimmie
The Voice contestant and Florida local was loved by many and mourned greatly after she was murdered by a gunman during a fan meet-and-greet.
